X800 XL also marks the debut of a PCIe to AGP bridge chip from ATI

It looks like ATI fans that are not yet ready to move to PCIe can rejoice - ATI sent out a PR this morning announcing the availability of X800 XL and X850 XT AGP parts, the former being a bridged solution (the first one from ATI) and the latter being a native AGP implementation.?

MARKHAM, ON ?February 28, 2005 ?ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) today enhanced its family of graphics products for gamers and enthusiast PC users by announcing and shipping AGP versions of its popular RADEON?X800 XL graphics cards and RADEON?X850 XT graphics processors.
The PR is claiming that both parts are shippping and hopefully allocation is not as tight as for some of their other high end parts.
