Plug in the box and goMatrox, while no longer a contender in the mainstream video card market, has released a product designed to allow even those with the most basic of graphics solutions to run dual monitors. The Dual Head 2 Go is an external box that plugs into the basic video output of a computer and translates that into a dual display setup functionally the same as that coming off of a high end video card.
Matrox is currently working on adding more support for multiple chipsets and graphics implementations, with the minimum requirement currently being an Intel 845. The relatively unattractive, but apparently powerful box is expected to go on sale this month for roughly $169 and should be available from most mainstream retailers.
