Introduction and Specs
Gigabyte is a top-tier motherboard and video card vendor. Their name is well known within the enthusiast community and for good reason. A recent revival in their interest in overclocking and the enthusiast has resulted in a number of fine-tuned motherboards. Their previous best board, the X48T-DQ6, was an incredible board and the GA-EP45T-Extreme builds upon the experience they gained with the X48T-DQ6.
The GA-EP45T-Extreme has nearly everything you could desire from a top dollar motherboard. The board at stock speeds runs stable and cool and in overclocked scenarios it manages to stretch its legs and climb to incredible heights. The only issue that could be found with the board, BIOS stability, is something that engineers are constantly working on with improvements realized in each revision.
With a seemingly endless feature set, the GA-EP45T-Extreme is a solid candidate to hold the Extreme moniker. For the first time, Legit Reviews will go above and beyond in this review and test this board with liquid nitrogen. Before we get to that though, take a look at what makes this board Extreme.
