Our system setup prepares for the standard processor-on-processor beating that is about to commence on the following pages.  Both the Intel and AMD setup used identical parts where applicable including hard drive, PSU, video card, sound card, drivers, etc.  A total of 9 processors are compared against each other in almost all of our tests.
