SilverStone ST30NF 250/300W Power Supply continued...
In case you were wondering why this PSU is rated at 250/300W this chart above explains it all. The maximum output wattage of the PSU is dependent on the input voltage. At 110v (North America adn Japan) the PSU is capable of 250W, at 220v the unit can produce 300W. We will be testing at 110v.

There is no doubt that this PSU is expensive, but it is because SilverStone is trying to deliver a server-quality fanless PSU. This explains the details they go into in the manual, the indicator LEDs, the included installation bracket, and the optional (not included) 24-pin connector.
The front of the ST30NF is heavily ventilated so there is enough airflow to keep the internal heatsinks and heatpipe cool. This should create a current and get the hot air to leave the back of the PSU, which is the only way to prevent the PSU and your case from overheating.
The wiring is very similar to the Antec Phantom: the main 20-pin power connector and 12v lines are sleeved and the rest are not. As opposed to sleeving the rest of the writing is held together with zip ties, though SilverStone did use less than Antec so the wiring is a but less organized.
One 20-pin mainboard (20-pin to 24-pin converter NOT included)
One 4-pin +12V P4 mainboard
Two SATA
Six 4-pin Molex
Two 4-pin FDD
One 6-pin AUX
As expected the PSU comes with all the Molex connectors you expect and dual SATA power connectors, but where's the PCIe? No such luck- this PSU is ATX12V vers. 1.3 compliant and though it may be ready to power your server or 4U rackmount system, it is not yet ready for PCIe.
Here is an example of SilverStone's beautiful aluminum work, specifically the engraving. You can tell that they went the extra mile when designing this PSU's enclosure as it is nice looking, thoughtfully laid out, and also smaller than any of the other PSUs in this article.
