3DMark05 can give us a clearer picture of what 512MB of frame buffer is capable. However at resolutions of 1280 x 1024 and below, the faster memory frequency of the NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra allowed it to win by a slight margin. This changed at 1600 x 1200 as in both scenarios, as with and without anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing, the Leadtek WinFast PX6800 Ultra finally showed the effects of the extra memory, edging ahead of the reference board. As expected, the Leadtek WinFast PX6800 Ultra only produced its best when the eye candy was enabled and at the highest resolution.
