Temperature Testing
The passively cooled Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO Ultimate is the hottest card in the roundup, chalking up to 80 degrees Celsius for its memory chips compared to the 50 odd degrees found on most of the other cards. An interesting side observation is that the two-slot cooler found on the Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO Fireblade does not fare quite as well as the Arctic Cooling heatsink found on the HIS Radeon X800 GTO card. The normal edition Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO was also found to be much warmer than most of the other cards, probably due to its simple cooler.
