Tricky topics include the performance of integrated chipsets with Longhorn

The Inq has an interview with Intels' director of chipset and software marketing today with some interesting questions one of which is how Intel will deal with Longhorn with its substantial graphics requirements.

Of course, the major shift in graphics is going to be the entry of Avalon, the next generation user interface (UI) for Longhorn. Is Intel working to make sure its integrated graphics work with the new UI? "Absolutely. Microsoft understand that 80% of their platform is Intel - we have the largest installed base." Whilst Lakeport will be "Longhorn ready, the real Longhorn experience will be with our 2006 chipsets."
Other interesting answers include Intel's take on SLI-like solutions and their plans of entering that market.
