The Inq reports that FX-60's are in large system builder hands...The Inquirer is reporting that some system builders have AMD FX-60's in hand - public availability of this part cannot be far behind!
The FX-60 apparently runs the dual cores at 2.6GHz, which is a bit shy of the highest speed single core Athlon (at 2.8GHz) but having two cores running at 2.6GHz?should handily spank the single core part wherever multi-threaded code is run.
With NVIDIA starting to add some dual core support to its drivers and with game publishers presumably working like mad to multi-thread this should lead to some rather interesting performance increases for gamers.
