At least three games are expected to be ready for PS3 launch, whenever that isSony Computer Entertainment America is believed to be working on three game titles for the PlayStation 3, and if all goes well they could be made ready for the console's launch.?SCEA Executive VP Jack Tretton admits in an interview with US PlayStation Magazine that the games include a title from Factor 5 called "Lair", as well a new?offering in "WarHawk" aerial action series from SCEA itself, but no information was revealed regarding the third title.?According to Tretton, SCEA has seen some sort of gameplay footage for these games, and they're confident they will live up to the hype generated by the E3 PS3 promotional videos.
Unfortunately this is not a guarantee that said titles will indeed by ready for PS3 launch, not that we have come any closer in discovering when the console is ready for release in North America anyhow.?Indeed, they are still debating over whether or not to attempt a global launch for the PS3 in the vein of Microsoft's Xbox 360:
"'I don't think a consumer really cares whether or not is available in another country before or after it's available for them,' Tretton told PSM.'Everybody wants a new platform as soon as they can get their hands on it, and I guess selfishly every territory wants to be first, but I think ultimately what the consumers are going to be excited about is going to be the software content that's available for it.'"
