Product Analysis:

Albatron Trinity GeForce 6800 Review

Like Gigabyte, Albatron likes to use blue PCB for their graphics cards as well as motherboards. To match it all off, the card has a gigantic blue, copper heatsink that dissipates the heat excessively well. Albatron?s brand and product name is displayed at the top of the heatsink. Top right corner allows some hints to the heatsink?s architecture; and in a similar fashion, chunk of copper is visible underneath the fan. The fan is connected to the board via two-pin connection. The image doesn?t do justice to the fine finishing that Albatron has done to the card. It is one of the best looking cards in the market and should please modders to consider it for their blue theme.

The fan and heatsink combo works fairly well and the fan was quiet throughout our testing. The only time we heard it was during boot-up, which is normal for all graphics cards, it seems.

As with the latest line of GPUs from ATI and NVIDIA, the card is featured with an extra power connector, which is required to power the card.

The backside of the card is clean with on an "X" to make contact with the GPU and memory chips. The heatsink is sizable enough to cover the memory chips, which should yield in better overclocking results, if possible.

The front portion of the card is integrated with DVI, VGA, and S-Video connectors.
