Curious about the wind tunnel's impact on system temperatures, we tested the TJ06 with and without the wind tunnel's plastic shroud in place.
With the stock Intel heat sink, the wind tunnel has no measurable impact on CPU temperatures.
The motherboard?s Zone 1 idle temperature doesn?t change without the wind tunnel. Under load, the motherboard reports a 1C decrease in Zone 1 temperature without the wind tunnel.
Looking at Zone 2, the TJ06 again performs better without the wind tunnel.
Surprisingly, the GPU core idles at a lower temperature lower with the wind tunnel than without. Load temperature remains the same. 
The GPU ambient temperature tells a different story. Here, idle temperatures are a whopping 10C lower without the wind tunnel.
