For 3DMark03 Pro, the ASUS V9999GE outperformed the GeForce 6800 as expected. The gains over the standard GeForce 6800 ranged from around 6 ?9% without anisotropic filtering and anti-aliasing, not exactly the 25% improvement that ASUS has claimed. All this changed when we enabled anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering for the second part of the test. The performance gain was around 10% at 800x600 but this increased to 31% at the highest resolution of 1600x1200. Finally, we can see the much-vaunted improvements promised by ASUS and we can see that the extra memory of the V9999GE comes into play when we increased the resolutions. Although, the V9999GE was still unable to reach anywhere close to the numbers produced by the GeForce 6800 GT for this benchmark, it is understandable as there is a difference in throughput capability in both parts.
