Test Setup
Like we mentioned earlier, we won't be showing the usual benchmarks for these GeForce 8800 GTX cards since they are likely to be perform around the same, due to their similar reference design and clock speeds. Hence, we will only be displaying our overclocking and temperature results.
Our test rig was based on a new Core 2 Duo system using an E6700 (2.67GHz) processor. This was installed on an Intel D975XBX 'Bad Axe' motherboard together with 1GB of DDR2-800 HyperX memory modules from Kingston. We also used a Seagate 7200.7 SATA hard drive, which was installed with Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 and DirectX 9.0c. The cards tested are shown below again:
