Similarly, the temperatures we recorded for all the GeForce 8800 GTX cards in our comparison were within a certain range. For example the core varied very little from card to card, having a narrow range of between 63.3 and 66.6 degrees Celsius. Other components like the power transistors and the memory chips were also limited to a variance of around 2 and 6 degrees respectively. In short, you can choose any card in our comparison with some confidence that you won't be looking at excessive heat output, provided that the fan is working properly in a decently ventilated casing of course.
