Temperature Testing
Predictably the cards outfitted with third party coolers were the winners for our temperature tests, returning the lowest temperatures. HIS and Sapphire both did extremely well, though HIS was by far the superior card. Elsa also did rather well, considering its more orthodox cooler design while GeCube's unique cooler also lived up to its claims. The temperatures we observed for the PowerColor and MSI were within the acceptable range and Gigabyte's temperature was the worst, an inevitable consequence of its heat pipe only based cooler.
