Results - 3DMark03 Pro (version 340)
ABIT's RX700 Pro-128PCIE was the only card tailing the other RADEON X700 PRO graphics cards by a few percentage points, but its performance is perfectly justifiable as it is a 128MB graphics card. GeCube's GC-RX700PROG-C3 is also a 128MB graphics card, but it's speedier frame buffer actually helped it garner first place. Besides the two of them, we expected all other contenders to perform similarly, but unfortunately this wasn't the case all the time. For some weird reason, PowerColor's RADEON X700 PRO couldn?t match up to the performance bar set by other 256MB graphics cards all the time.
During the showcase section of the HIS graphics cards, we've highlighted the card's turbo option via the supplied utilities. Taking that into consideration, HIS clearly takes the performance crown among the RADEON X700 PRO graphics cards. Next up would be GeCube, followed by the rest of the cards. This positioning is fairly consistent in most of our test segment, but there are exceptions occasionally, which we'll highlight where necessary.
