GeCube GC-RX700PROG-C3

Unlike other RADEON X700 PRO vendors, GeCube chose to produce only the cost-effective 128MB version, but to give their buyers an edge up against other similar options, the memory on the GeCube GC-RX700PROG-C3 operates at 945MHz DDR. The card's BIOS is tuned for this operating speed and requires no user intervention or utilities to boost its performance. This wasn't much of a hassle for GeCube since the memory parts used on the card are again the same Samsung GDDR3 rated at 2ns. This equates to a theoretical maximum speed of 1GHz DDR while the defaults that most other cards use at 860MHz DDR means that there is quite a bit of unrealized potential. The higher clock memory on the GeCube actually helped it rival or even outperform (in some scenarios) the more expensive 256MB cards from other vendors as gathered from our testing. You'll soon get to see the results, but first, let us overview the GeCube GC-RX700PROG-C3:-

The GeCube GC-RX700PROG-C3 sports a reference cooler designed for the elusive RADEON X700 XT cards. Of course the fiery and zesty Ruby sticker on the decorative faceplate was GeCube's own touch.

Just like the ABIT card, the rear is bare since this a 128MB graphics card.

The rear faceplate is quite a standard fare with analog VGA, 7-pin mini-DIN (TV output connections) and DVI-I connectors.

The accessories provided are a Composite and S-Video output cable dongle, Component output cable dongle and a DVI-I to DB15 VGA converter.

When the card is actively in use in a quiet environment, you are bound to be able to hear it, but note that it's not obtrusive, just a tad audible.
